Brush Wellman's BrushForm™ 65 is a copper beryllium alloy designed for use in the Automotive, Appliance and DataCom/TeleCom markets where high strength, high conductivity and excellent formability are required. BrushForm 65 can be used in any application that requires increased power. Increasing power and miniaturization in electronic interconnects has created demand for higher conductivity alloys. In miniaturized contacts, temperature rise due to a smaller cross sectional area must be compensated for by higher electrical and thermal conductivities. The decreased contact beam length results in higher design stresses driving the need for materials with high yield strength. BrushForm 65 responds to the demand for a high performance copper alloy that provides high electrical and thermal conductivities with improved formability and high yield strength.
