Tradenames: MoldMAX® PROtherm®

MoldMAX® and PROtherm® are copper beryllium alloys specifically designed for the plastic processing industry.

MoldMAX® provides strength and wear resistance similar to that of many tool steels. In addition, MoldMAX® offers a thermal conductivity three to four times greater than steel and comparable to aluminum. MoldMAX® is typically specified for blow mold pinch offs, neck rings and handle inserts; injection mold components and cavity inserts; and hot runner system injection nozzles and manifolds. MoldMAX® is available in plate sizes ranging from 0.25” to 12” thick, and in rod diameters ranging from 0.5” up to 22”.

PROtherm® provides the highest thermal conductivity available in a mold material…ten times greater than steel and twice that of aluminum. PROtherm® also offers a hardness and strength that exceed aluminum. PROtherm® is available in plate sizes ranging from 0.25” to 10” thick, and in rod diameters ranging from 0.5” to 22”.
